Enjambre / Enemigo

Mexican Indie, with pop in mind - but essentially dark at heart.

It took a little while to find out something about this band. First there`s the language barrier, then there`s the fact that two spanish -  speaking and currently active bands who share the same name.  I finally found the right band. They are from California, they sing in mexican spanish  and one of the band members is Japanese (in origin, but is in fact German - who is not in the photo) so there`s a lot influences within their music that are coming from different parts of the globe.

They are a mix of indie. rock and alternative - if those tags hold any meaning for you. But in reality it`s quite hard to pin them down - they have a habit of going from one style to another from one song to the next so it is quite hard to define properly them to someone who hasn`t heard them. To find out for yourself check out the additional  tracks on their myspace page .. Oh yeah, Enjambre means "swarm" and if you`re on the look out for them DONT get them confused with the Argentinean rock band of the same name -  Does make you wonder, if they played together at a festival ... just who would headline the bill?
