Richard Parker. It`s just a name.
Richard Parker the band - are quite something else.
Just back from a gig down at the Camden Barfly, the band are putting the final touches to their album, due for release at the end of April. What you have here is a E.P from March this year, featuring instrumentals that are raw with emotion and passion. The title track "Mechanisms" is something that I`ve heard late, late at night coming from the "Barretts Bunker" studio many times way back when they were perfecting the song. To hear something as powerful as that when it`s midnight, all the bands have gone home, you`re having a cig outside and looking up at the moon .. it`s a cool experience.
They are supporting Maps and Atlases and Tall Ships at the Brudnell on the 20th. If you can`t make it then be sure to catch them at Live at Leeds this coming May.
Well crafted guitar lines and a perfect soundtrack to your thoughts. Take it.
