La Machine - Spirit Level

La Machine can be best described as industrial/electronica, Full of razor sharp guitars, scuzzed, scratched and furious beats and lyrically dark vocals. They used to be Lovebites, as a duo they played their last gig at our Freakout last year. Since then, they changed their name, their style and their sound - and now they are a four piece, with Buffalo Bones frontman Chris Mulligan multitaking between playing guitar and electronic instruments. This single came out in December of last year - their first to showcase their more heavier direction.

They kicked off the first Freakout of the year in 2012, with Lee Morris`s guitar succumbing to some unnknown force halfway through and broke whilst he was playing. His understandable anger at his beloved axe, combined with the thunderous music filling the Don Van room, became a performance in itself - with many unaware that breaking his guitar was not part of show.

There are set to release a second single at the end of April O2, we`ll be blogging it.
